So, a fun and fresh little life update…. Ya girl is officially one degree hotter Magna cum Laude with a major in applied psychology and a minor in professional writing. This usually prompts the immediate, dreaded question from well-meaning friends and family, “So Bianca, what do you plan on doing next?”

The answer is that I am moving to Denver, Colorado to start Graduate school this fall! The fun thing about going to grad school immediately post-undergrad is that it’s like emotional whiplash!

When you go to undergrad the entire admissions experience is just your future school channeling Meredith in season 2 of Grey’s Anatomy, “Pick me, choose me, and love me”. They promise you the sun moon and stars, all you have to do is commit to them. But when you go to graduate school the admissions process is much more the hot blonde in the club promising to call you that night, but they don't call you until like two weeks later.

So after complete radio silence, my graduate program told me I was accepted. My undergrad sent me an acceptance letter with inflatable balloons and a card signed by my admissions counselor. My grad program called me on the phone. It really is like a grown-up relationship.

So, two weeks ago I went to Denver to scope out some apartment complexes and I just had the best time (no I didn't)! A really cool thing about Denver is that it’s really densely populated, so your chance of finding housing is similar to your chance at finding a decent guy on a dating app (I’m so single it’s painful. No like actually, someone please find me a husband, my check engine light is on again and I can't do this anymore).

But I digress, some of the apartments were beautiful three-story townhouses with beautiful furnishings. Some had heated year-round pools and in-house weekly yoga lessons. One apartment had smoke-yellowed ceilings, pee stains on the carpet, and the door handle broke when we were leaving. So really guys, apartment hunting, it’s all about range.

Anyway, My roommates and I picked an apartment out and we should be moving in between July & August. Moving out for the first time across the country is definitely intimidating. But, don’t worry I pledge to keep you updated my loyal (and hostage) readers.

Now, who knows a nice single young man they want to set me up with????
